SECs are classic so it is nice to see people still taking good care of them.

You should find a period AMG or Nardi steering wheel.

My buddy's got a 85 500SEL he's slowly restoring. Took me for a ride yesterday. The car's got options that car's from this era are just now starting to get.

Great car. Those are built like tanks.

very sweet! I am in the process of putting back together an 88 e30 m3 but nothing like yours though. I am starting to like and appreciate these older vintage cars

Thanks Edwin,

The restored E30's that I saw on e46fanatics.com are what made me want to renew this car, and since I already had this 500sec I thought I could work on it instead of buying another car to restore.

Here's two pics of it when I brought it home (hope you don't mind)

Engine shot

Hopefully one day, I'll do the headliner in alacantra like yourself

I wouldn't call this a restoration. It is your car and all, but you completely raped it, especially the interior, which I don't like at all. The wood color and the gray suede doesn't match.

It looks blinged out. But hey, it's not my car!

Just don't call it restored, because the car wasn't like that originally.
