I think the over 600hp base are enough. And 700hp are amazing. But the Viper has had around 1400hp. My reason is that the 388hp in the 550 are enough but the 700hp are better. Normally the S-class is a daily driver. Not a racing car.

As far as additional mods...ummm...no! Renntech is enough - with 700/850 in a luxury sedan Im not looking for anymore! Its super fast as is and everything is covered under warranty so I will leave it at that.
I am looking for new 21's to put on the car though. Want to go with different rims - the Amg rims are nice but not flashy enough for me. You can tell my taste when you see what I had on the Viper and the 996TT. But there arent a lot of choices out there for 21's yet. 22 is too big and 20's not big enough so we'll see.
As far as driving impressions... my first race was against a Carrera 4S and he didnt know what he was racing. I came up behind him on the highway doing about 80mph and he punches it (guess he thought I was something with the euro lights) so I gunned it and I blew by him like he was standing still! He tried me again when we got off and we are at the stoplight - no contest! He didnt pull up next to me at the next light...instead he stopped behind me - probably to try to figure out wtf kinda car weighing 5100lbs destroyed him! All I can say is that there's something to be said about a heavy luxury liner beating up on sports cars - PRICELESS!
As soon as I hit 1000 miles on this car I will run it against my 996TT for s**ts and giggles! I will video it - curious of the outcome but my prediction is the 996TT by a car doing a 50-170 roll.
The car just goes - hard to describe it's speed. Its not like the Viper or Porsche - you just put your foot into the pedal and its like a smooth rollercoaster take off! Next thing you know you look at the speedo and your in triple digits in a blink! All that and the nicest ridiing car Ive ever been in on top of that! There are times I just like to cruise and not even in the fast lane and other times just go fast for the pure enjoyment! Then there are all the toys and gadgets on the car - all I can say is that Mercedes did this one right! Everything is intuitive and though it was intimidating at first it was easy to learn. MB Command system is far better then what I experienced in the BMW 745i I used to have with the Idrive!
Well I could go on and on but dont want to bore you all! I dont have pics of the interior yet but once I get wheels I will post up updates pics and interior photos too.
