Talked to my cousin at MBZ USA a few weeks ago about the R63. They only imported 175 R63 AMGs. The car is obviously very rare. In fact, two weeks after talking to him about the R63, I saw one on the PA Turnpike right out side of Philadelphia. Car was silver and had NY Plates. The driver got the thumps up from me. His wife was a bit confused as my to fixation with their "minivan." However, the R63, as well as the R500 have been discontinued. They will just be making the R350 now, but they are offering it in RWD for the states without the need for the 4Matics.

I think MB noticed there wasnt a market for the R63 and thats why its not available as an 08, E55K Wagons were selling quiet well and there where talks that it was faster than the saloon aka sedan. Ive seen E63 Wagon pictures and it looks terrific, any one can chime in as I want to know if the Panaromic roof system is available on the Wagon ?

Thank you in advance.

You are correct about the R Class production. Quite simply, Mercedes noticed that the R500 didn't even catch on. People who buy the R Class were going after its function vs. its potential "performance." The R350 was enough car for those buyers so the R500, and certainly the R63 became the irrational after-thought. I have yet to see a pano roof on a E55 or E63 wagon. I would think it could be an option as the R Class offers it and is quite cool in the larger vehicles.

I think a R63 would be a quiet cool Daily Car, Kills E46 M3's , 996 C2's and 997C2.

There's a family down the street from me that has a black R63 and a green E63 wagon. The R63 is pretty awesome, the wagon isn't my favorite but it might just be the green color.

E55 Wagon owner here. No Pano Roof option available. My car is an 05 and AMG only sent approximately 65 to the US in that model year. Oh, and by the way, my car with it's K2, TB kit, and LSD, eats up much larger prey than M3's and C2's.

I have an Indium Grey '07 E63 Wagon. My former driver was a Flint Grey '05 E55 Wagon. Great cars both. I don't have a camera but I'll try to borrow one to get pics.
