I say get the 550, and keep the CLS, its worth a little less then 80k, no you have the power and a bigger S class when you need it

ehh it is my wifes daily but i usually take this car when i go on road trips and such....its tempting not to get the 65 but i dont want to loose my *** on depreciation

 

I think a very suitable alternative for you would be to get the S600. It also has a V12 Biturbo engine (although, not the exact same) and with a RENNTech ECU would have much HP as the 65. It still doesn't look the same but it's the perfect compromise between the 550 and 65.

after seeing used prices, you'd be silly to buy a new one. I'd go for a 2006 65 with less than 10K miles on it. It would be like a brand new car, just a hell of a lot cheaper.

 

Used 65 or new 600 with sport package. Amazing cars...

 

It is sad how you basically loose about 40k when you drive any of the 65 series cars off the lot. The depretiation on those os just ridiculous. I drove a Kleeman S65 and the car was amazing. If I had that kind of ching to throw away it would be done.

 

i agree with this if you dont wanna spend the cash on a 65 the 600 is almost the same car. now of coarse the 65 looks 100% better with alot of stuff that is nicer but like you said is it worth it. to me hell ya but to you it might not be. if they had a E65 i would be the first in line for one. i personaly wouldnt get the 63. id get the 550 with AMG package before the 63.

not yet but i really like how the AMG's are sporty. The 600 is more of a luxury view and does not have the sporty looks.

I wouldnt be upgrading the car at all im not into all that at all.

 

As an owner of a S65 I gotta tell ya that there isnt much that really compares to this car! I also have the Renntech mods on it and its just the best of all worlds in one pkg BAR NONE! It will out run 997TT and ferraris and lambos and still be classy and roomy and elegant! The price hasn't really dropped that much and I dont know if it will with the limited number they are making - I heard 200 (not sure if thats US or world but either way even 200 in US is pretty low). This is still a new body and I dont see it dropping like the older model mainly since you still have the S63 and S600 at $140k+. Sure you could go for the S600 but you will miss out on all that AMG has to offer! I HAVE NO REGRETS!!! Its a beautiful car and a technological marvel. The Bentley is kinda boring to me and doesnt have the kinda performance that the S65 does!

Anyway - good luck with your decision. FWIW - if money is in object Id take the S63 instead!

still looking.. I was giong to buy a S63 this weekend but was shocked when i found out i lost 30k on my CLS...it only has 7k miles

 

go with the bentley
you will drive a REAL performance saloon
it goes 195mph STOCK, and is very stable

there is nothing on the road like it
just to give you an idea
there will be 35000 S class benz's released in north america for the 2007 model year

there will be 1547 flying spurs in north and south america combined...
if you want a fully customizable interior, and want quality, go for the bentley

btw, it will not depreciate as much as s benz, also, don't be a sucker for papers, the bentley makes more usable torque.... its awd

 

The S65 would embarrass it as far as the performance category

As far as units... lot of S class out there but only couple hundred S65's compared to your 1547 Flying Spurs.

..and until I see the price of these S65's really drop the whole depreciation thing is speculation. This isn't the old body style - it may drop after they have been out awhile say in 3-4 yrs but I dont see it happening yet.
