Yeah I think that all will come down to personal preference. S600 is more luxury and offers the "smaller" V12 but the S63 has the AMG appointments that includes exterior visuals with body and wheels in addition to suspension upgrade. Price wise I think its pretty close. You're right about the 600 - easier to add more power. I personally would take the S63 due to overall appearance but either way you can't go wrong! I love my S63. Great all around car. It looks the part and is incredibly quick for the size. The interior is perfect for me and it is plenty quiet inside for phone calls, etc. Love it. Great car!!!

 

I have a friend that is about to order an 08' S600 pretty soon, and i've noticed that the S600 come with a 5sp Auto instead of a normal 7sp Auto on regular S550 model. What give? Could it be the 7sp Auto couldn't handle the torque of a turbo V12?

 

tq reliability limit is smothing like 475lb ft on the 7 spd. the s600 tranny 5 speed is bulletproof and can handle around 1000 lb ft reliably

 

Just take S550 4-matic with sport packege and relax!!! very good car!!!
