turbo's are turbo's. As long as the system is designed properly, the location of the turbo is irrelevant. Especially with 6.2L of displacement and 32 valves. It will spool the turbo('s) plenty fast.

I thought I heard that the trannys on the 63 can't handle anymore then the NA 6.2! Thats why they went with stronger 5 speed autos on the 65's vs the 7 speed autos on the 63's.

Unlike most domestic cars, MBs, have very little space to run any additional pipes from the back to the front. I have looked at the car originally and it is going to be a very tight fit, if possible.

The hardest part of rear mounted turbo would be selling it most AMG owners. It is still not an easily accepted idea, even if it works on other cars.

lag times in rear mounted turbos are definitely more noticeable...

Mono is right, and I dont think the MB owners would like to go from decent torque and response, to laaaaag. I personally wouldnt.
