E63 transmission update

E63 transmission update
I bought an E63 with a February 2007 build date. The off-the-line performance seemed a bit sluggish. Apparently Mercedes knows this, and has a very recent software update along with a new throttle valve for the transmission. I had that done.
With the latest, the car will leave rubber when cruising at 30 mph in first gear (manual mode) when you stomp down on the pedal with ESP off. I can repeat this every time.
From a dead stop in first gear, sport mode, ESP off, stomp the pedal and the car will leave 50 feet or more of rubber.
Before the update, I couldn't leave rubber from 30 or from 0. The overall acceleration seems the same. It's just that the transmission seems much more responsive.

I had a check engine light and took car in to check at 3k miles. They replaced the "switchover" value and now a whole new car. It is noticable faster and the tires light up easily. Great deal
