Unit is brand new / unopened box, black color, and is one of the "new batch" units. Some of the early units had quirks, which have been remedied in the new batch. The AVP700 sounds amazing for movies and music. It rocks, end of story. The AVP700 makes just about everything for sale at the chain stores sound like garbage, including processors costing twice as much. You'd have to drop $5 or $6k on a processor to best the sound of the Arcam. If you have decent speakers and a decent amplifier, watching surround movies through the Arcam will blow your mind! If you are just building out your system, starting with a quality processor is the best place to begin.
