FSOT: Audemars Piguet Quantieme Perpetual RG
This is probably the best buy in the used watch market right now. It is an Audemars Piguet Perpetual that was manufactered in the early 90's. Original retail was in the neighboorhood of $40,000. This watch is a beautiful red gold on a black Croc AP strap with red gold AP buckle. It is 36mm and in outstanding shape, approx 90%.
REDUCED TO $9,000!!! This is a STEAL for a gold perpetual from one of the finest houses.

I have been timing it for two weeks both on my winder and on my wrist and it is dead on accurate so far. No seconds hand so i can't tell you exactly how fast or slow, but it has actually been more accurate than either of my Blancpains over that time.
If this watch said Patek on the dial it would be worth 80 grand. Both AP and Patek were absolute equals when this watch was made. For whatever reason the AP's have depreciated majorly while the Pateks have all appreciated. It is undoubtedly of as high a quality as any watch out there though.
At the price range, there is nothing that can touch it. You can barely get another perpetual at this price even in stainless steel, let alone a gold perpetual from one of the big 3 (patek, ap, vacheron constantin). Frankly it's a bit insulting to have to sell the watch this cheap. I really have no idea why the market has priced these things so low, but i'm at its mercy. The only reason I'm selling is that the next watch I want is $35,000 and i'd prefer to have some cash to put towards it.

I have located a used version of a watch that I really want. it is going to sell quickly so i need the money NOW. I'm dropping the price on this to $10k until this other watch sells, then i'll raise it back and play the waiting game again.
