They've got it at at Shreve Jewellers at Post & Grant. It has the brown strap and I've got to tell you Stryke is right -- the face is drop dead gorgeous. The only reason I didn't buy it is the Roman numerals -- they didn't look to me like they belonged on the watch. They just got it in today so if you want it, get your *** up here. If you do, give me a call and I'll buy you a celebratory drink.

 

Right next to it was the watch I really wanted -- a yellow gold case, white face Daytona. Sorry Gil, but impulse and watch-lust took over, and I bought it on the spot. I love it.

 

im in hawaii now and a rolex dealer here is selling a ss daytona for 6k plus, black face, but he said i must buy another 18k rolex if i want this daytona.

 

You guys buying gold Rolex are nuts if you don't price me first.

I saw it. It was interesting, and had some good pics, but it was all advertising. Did you notice that all the articles praised the watchmakers that purchased full-page glossy ads (sometimes multiple)? Stryke -- it was huge, a full magazine-size supplement, way too much to scan.

 

I hope you are not saying that you should not buy from him.
I have personally never done business with Gil (Stryke) but have 2 friends (and many other 6speeders) that have (and done it sight unseen) with nothing but good things to say. Start a post on here and see how many people have bought timepeices from him and how many are not satisfied with his service.......I am sure you wont find 1. Just my 2c.

That doesn't seem like a bad deal necessarily. I purchased 5 rolies from the same guy before I got my SS Daytona.
