I wish you best of luck but please be honest here. The list price is only $4,400 and I offer a nice discount on it and no tax (very close to the used price you are asking), brand new and as an authorized dealer. I would not chime in but I can't see you over-inflating the list price to make yours seem more attractive and not comment. You also did not mention the serial and age so I assume it is the older model (pre G series) which has a different finish on the crown guard than the current models. Best of luck with the sale but please keep it honest.

If you buy my Panerai 104 watch in NYC you will pay retail $4,400 plus tax 18.25% = $803.00. $4,400.00 plus 803.00 = Total you pay $5,203

I don't like to put my Panerai serial # in the internet because a lot of watch dealers who sell watches via internet would use my watch info to make and sell FAKES watches. To many fake watches via internet! I would never buy one online..I prefer to go and see it in person.

Oh man, this keeps getting worse and worse!

First, since when is NYC tax 18.25%??? Are you buying from loan sharks? It is only 8.375% which is only $368.50 for a total of $4,768.50. Less than $5,000 tax included.

Secondly, you said "this watch will cost your over 5k plus tax.." Suggesting that list price is over $5,000 and then you add tax to that.

Third, you can buy that watch in NYC as I suggested with a great discount brand new and pay no sales tax. I am located in NYC for the last 20 years.

Lastly, I don't want your serial number, only the first letter which will indicate the year it was made. That will determine it's age and if it is the latest model available. You end with "To many fake watches via internet! I would never buy one online..I prefer to go and see it in person." yet you are selling yours online. Irony at it's finest!

I wasn't attacking you, only pointing out some faulty issues in your post and instead of acknowledging the facts you are further twisting them.

Did I leave anything out?

I'm not looking for an argument, believe me. I just don't want a new member to come in here and think that 6speeders can be taken advantage of and lied to. I don't like over-inflating or hyping up an item for sale to make it seem more than it is in an effort to make your deal more attractive. Nothing wrong with salesmanship but tell it like it is and the market will dictate the attractiveness of the deal.

Hey Stryke -- my local watch guy called to tell me he had a Daytona with a "meteorite" face. What the hell is that?

I am not interested in selling my Panerai 104 44 mm via mail because of headaches and can be costly. Insurance, trips to the post office, etc.

If you want my watch you will have to meet in Manhattan and check it in person.

I think buying a watch via internet is to risky (to many FAKES) and troublesome. Sorry just my opinion.

You folks have been Warn!! Don't buy via internet or you will be sorry.

PS..I posted my watch in EBAY and receive a few replys requesting me to send my watch to Spain and deal with a 3 third party for payment !!!

I have sold hundreds of watches on the internet. The risk is on the buyer's side so I don't see your point as far as any risk you take. When buying from a reputable source the risk is eliminated. Here you are talking about fear and risk and telling a potential buyer to leave their number posted yet you do not post your number.

In any case, the meteorite Daytona is stunning in person. The dial is made of an actual piece of meteorite from space. Beautiful under good lighting. The case and hands are white gold and accented nicely by a brown or black leather alligator deployment strap.

I appreciate all that Gil points out. I wish all people were as honest.

And I wish eveyone would stop selling watches here. Granted, they're not as expensive as modding the car (except for the Coca Cola watch) - but just as habit forming.
