Sony Bravia 40" LCD (KDL-40S2000)

Posting for a friend, the tv is located in Burglingame, CA.

Here is his Craigslist ad:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/194564907.html

" This TV also comes with a full, in-home 3 year extended warranty direct from Sony. This means no shipping it off somewhere, no need to drive to a service center, nothing. They come to your home and if they can not fix it on the spot, they will either offer you a loaner or free replacement. Try buying this TV at The Good Guys / CompUSA: $2349 for the tv, $299 for the extended warranty (not in-home service and not direct from Sony), and tax gets you $2866.47. I am offering this TV for only $2250 out the door, and if you need help with delivery assuming you are not too far away I can do that too."

Thanks!

Curious why there is no interest - is the price too high? It's brand new...

I would guess that if you're looking for this specific TV, then it's a good deal. However, there are many other competitively priced LCDs and Plasmas out there brand new. I'm currently looking for a 40"-42" wall mountable TV for one of my guest rooms. I've seen brand new Panasonics for $1700.

yup...most ppl who arent brand ****** will probly shy away from sony since they're usually 10-15% above the competition (my dvd chgr & vcr are sony haha). That said, its a sweet unit, maybe my gf will want it for our burlingame place, i'll ask when im in SF next week. Personally, i wont be in market for a plazzy till probly next spring when I'm not spending as much time in AZ.

This is a very nice LCD TV.

I am considering it for my room too.

My Sony KVD3200 is going to be a bit too small for my new room.

TV's in general are getting cheaper. Like I stated earlier, Panasonic 40" plasmas can be had for about $1700 also. I would grab one of these before any LCD.
