As this is a car forum obviously the automotive sponsors have a place to post. I used to post in the for sale section and was told to post in OT as for sale was only for cars. Then I was told OT is getting crammed with watches so Darren made me a new watch section to post in. Since Jay has no section to post in he should be guided rather than scolded. It's his money (and others) that keeps the lights on for everyone to enjoy the board.

Furthermore, if he didn't advertise his services like this then someone looking for a custom jewelry piece may buy it elsewhere because they think he only does loose stones. I had many people buy watches elsewhere only to tell me "I didn't know you deal in XXX brand or that you take trades". It is important to update when you have customers relying on you and introducing a new service to members is no different.

 

So since it is merchandise for sale/wanted, that's where it should be. Jason should repost there, where only sponsors can post as corporate entities and individuals with no commercial interest.

Jason, it appears that you have a lot of support here, so I wouldn't be too upset that your thread was spoiled - look at the customer reviews you have here.

Not trying to step on toes here as I enjoy your posts Todd, but you could have moved the thread to this area (as a Mod) and sent him a pm explaining why it was moved.

 

Since it is an FYI and NOT anything for sale, per se, I think OT was more appropriate. He is not selling an item in this thread.

 

But rather than make a unilateral decision based on what I think others feel about it, I would rather ask. Jason got more results from the thread than he would have originally because all his happy customers stepped in to say how great he is - you can't PAY for that kind of PR. I had to gauge what everyone else's reaction is, and I can't do that via PM'ing everybody.

Obviously you can see it is moved now, where it is more appropriate, because it is an item for sale.

Jason you are doing nothing wrong but offering a good product to us. Don't worry Todd is only looking out for the boards interest so don't take it personally.

 

Jason is fine by me, but maybe we should make watches - watches and other fine jewlery..? perhaps not to clutter this other section.

 

I think the Merchandise for Sale should be Renamed "Marc996Miami's Gently-Used Apparel."
