Custom Jewelry from Gems By J.Wade

Iam about to launch my Bespoke CAD/CAM Jewelry Service on my website, before I do so I wanted to introduce it here.

There is no need to buy clothes from the rack, no need to buy the "model" home, and no need to roll that car off the show room floor looking like everyone elses. Then why buy whats sitting in your jewelers case when you can have exactly what you want? My team of award winning designers is ready to take your vision and make it into a tangible keepsake. This is a unique process from beginning to end. It starts with a consultation with me or one of my designers...we can initiate a design from a picture, a sketch, or an actual piece of jewelry. All renderings are done in CAD so you will see a photorealistic image of the actual piece before we move forward with milling and casting, you will get a full color image for you to accept or tweak in anyway to your liking. Wax molds, traditionally cut by hand, are now milled and cut by CNC producing extremely clean designs and faster turnaround time. My Bespoke Jewelry Service can be used to create any type of jewelry from your simple plain wedding band to an all out intricate design. The turnaround time varies with the holidays approaching...usually 2-3 weeks. Please call or email me for further info or for a consultation.

Is it just me, or is this post taking the sponsorship thing a LITTLE too far? I'm not seeing anybody else post this much detail in the way of in-your-face solicitation, and not that I'm against some form of it on the forums, but it's getting laid on really thick, not to mention the signature that lacks any form of subtlety. Personally, I'm more likely to buy from a sponsor who is active but subtle, rather than in your face with lack of nuance.

I disagree, that is why he pays this board to be a sponsor, it's done for advertising plain and simple. He should try to get a return on his investment, and there is nothing wrong with a little plug here and there.

Jason very nice work, my wifes band is exactly like the one in your picture, all emerald cuts. Very nice work, keep it up!

Surprising response, thanks for the support moderator. I would assume something like this from a mod to a sponsor could be discussed in PM, but I guess not.

Jason - I put it out here because I need to test the reactions of the rest of the board, not just shove my own opinions on you as the end-all decision. Posting it here makes it fair for the rest of the users. We're not setup to be some sort of monarchy here, unless it comes to spam.

I'm totally fine with 'a little plug here and there', but as my thread points out, I'm wondering if this and other posts (considering the magnitude of plug posts and the signature) have pushed the limit. If I'm alone in this, fine, but I've had some private conversations where I know I'm not totally alone. Of course we want our sponsors to plug their businesses here, offer specials and such, but when the forums turn into a commercial plug-fest, I lose interest.

Jason's a new sponsor. Beyond his for sale posts, I've only seen a couple of advertisements in the forums. It doesn't bother me and it's nice to know that he offers more than just loose stones. If he came out with a weekly bulletin, I'm sure it would get old pretty fast.

TTM0TION is infamous around these parts
I see no problem with it at all and actually think what he's doing is a great idea. I have had limited dealing with Jason but what I did have was top notch. If I was in the market for jewelery right now I would definetly have him on the calling list. I also saw no one bicker about stryke when he had a new watch for sale everyday on the forums so what's the problem here?

P.S. I also saw nothing wrong with stryke's posts.

Like Kevin said,
If he is a paying sponsor, I see nothing wrong with him starting threads (like other sponsors do) promoting their products. You guys should delete this thread and allow Jason to post a new thread. (minus the interruptions).

How about the fact that all the automotive sponsors use the cars/parts for sale/wanted forum to post such threads - wouldn't this be better fit in the 'merchandise for sale/wanted' or perhaps even the watch forum?

If its car parts/cars for sale, they should be in the car parts/for sale forum.

Jason, how can I address the issue on a separate thread when the thread in question is somewhere else?
