Ok Ok.

I got Protomotive upgraded VTG Turbos and Protomotive ECU. Picked up the car today and it was very hard to tell how much more additional power it added since it was rainning. I couldn't punch 3rd gear cuz the car would go side ways and engage PSM. Full boost in 5th gear is 17 and 18 and seems to stay there and not fluctuate unlike the GIAC chip I had. Car truly spools up faster, unlike pre-upgraded turbos with headers. I remember reading some folks saying stuff like "boost comes on sooner..." when they would add headers, I would highly disagree as it made almost no difference pre-upgraded turbos.

I know EVO is making or has already made EVT700 and so is AWE with their 700HP package, but I decided that I didn't want to wait anymore and having seen Protomotive 800WHP 996T gave me enough warm and fuzzy to go ahead with Protomotive. I'm very interested to see what the EVO and AWE upgrade consists of and how much they're going to charge.

So there you have it, the turbos have been upgraded. The turbos are not bigger, they're the same, the compressor wheels have been modified to make them bigger. BEST and most reasonable price upgrade to date!

Ken, while I think the R8 is pretty cool looking I would not trade the turbo for the R8. My turbo pre turbo upgrade would have smoked a R8 thus not making my face like the picture Van put up...LOL

If the R8 V10 is indeed turbo charged, then it may be a car I'd consider but only to keep my Turbo or some future P-car company. I think I've decided to always have a P-car in my garage...I'm hooked

Nice..sounds awesome. We'll have to get you to run against Gunthers Proto 996tt, see how the 2 fare against each other. Who did your install? Did the programming come on a flashloader?

by the way...you might want to start shopping for a new clutch.

Alex, sweet mother of chaos that car has gotta be FAST.

You know, for a free membership forum, this surely is going to be the most expensive club I've ever been a part of. Car is off the market gentlemen (and ladies).......we are going to have to go SUPERCHARGER now to keep up with everyone.

Garnett, which 3.6 would you put in there? That car would be serious if you did. Dont hold me to this I may know someone who is tossing their very strong 993 NA carb race motor if you are serious. its a shot in the dark but who knows???

Ah...the seats. You should have just stopped by the house on your way out yesterday. Maybe this will be incentive for me to get them in the car this week.

Howdy and welcome aboard - probably not getting waves and flashing lights as we are focusing on keeping the pedal depressed
