This is one reason why I haven't jumped on the sports car bandwagon again.

There are two things I hate about VA....

20+ over >= DUI felony
Car tax (own a 100k car?? expect to pay $5k+ a year just for the privilege.)

VA cops are horrible~

We are pretty lucky here, the street cops are usually pretty fair when it comes to speeding and the penalties aren't that harsh when you do get caught. We recently had the Buffalo Run (Midwest version of Gumball Rally) and I got clocked at 108 in a 65 outside of Kansas City in a 930 Turbo. He pulled me over about 30 min. later and said he had been trying to catch up for awhile, i thought i was toast... To my surprise he told me he had seen all the exotics in his quiet little suburb and knew something must be going on and told me if I got on my cell and started making phone calls to tell everyone to back off a little he'd let me off with a warning. He told me to be safe and sent me on my way.

Not all of them are A**holes here, but that definatly had a lot to do with luck and catching him on a good day.

Can any of the VA guys recommend a lawyer that can help me deal my "reckless by speed" summons? (Courtesy of the speed trap at mm 156 on Rt 81). Apparently, I am not the only one from out-of-state who has been issued a summons there. I pulled into the left lane to pass a truck, while setting the nav and was blasted by k-band - never saw him. My v-1 told me what happened, but it was far too late. I live in NJ and really don't want to take a day or two out of my life to deal with this. Any leads on a local lawyer who can help me?

Many, many thanks to anyone who can help.
