Laser Interceptor

I'm told the Passport 9500ci, along with the STI, are the only detectors that the RDD can't see, making them useful in VA.

Yes, LI is a feasible option for laser jamming.
Scott was saying his V1 wouldn't detect a laser shot, and xseal was saying only certain RD's aren't detectable by radar detector-detectors. This feature is valuable for truckers and people who travel through VA and DC where RD's are illegal.

The trouble with radar detectors that detect laser is you can't put your foot on the brake faster than the speed of light. If it goes off, you are screwed, unless you are just getting some bleed off from the guy in front of you. Laser jammers are the only real protection from laser.

I have the passport 9500ci with the laser shifter. It works great. I have a 4S with the transceivers mounted in the in the front bumper and 1 on the rear plate frame. As someone mentioned earlier.......if you get tagged, you must slam on the breaks to "correct" your speed.
The ci is also good because it has gps and lets you lock out reoccurring, unwanted signals from x and k band fixed locations.
