I am looking to test drive or just sit in a R8 V8. I am thinking of getting rid of the M3 for one but I want to be able to at least sit in one or drive one to make sure I would like it.

Any opinions on this car are welcomed.

 

If money isn't an issue I would go with the R8 V10. You get a Lamborghini engine and the 525hp instead of the 420hp and of course the beautiful sound of the V10.

+1 on Jason. He finds unique cars at the most insane prices!

 

I dont think you will be very impressed with the speed as your M3 now could probably beat the v8 in a race. Plus you'll have to deal with carbon build up and the loss of power from the gunk.

Wow. After reading those last two posts now I want an R8...

 

There is a lovely pre-owned R8 six speed at Audi of North America in Herndon. It is very nicely optioned with a cool exterior interior color combination.

I was checking it out yesterday.

 

That Heffner kit does look amazing. Can't imagine how much it runs though

he seems to find and have very unique cars. he also has a jag xj220s and many others for sale

 

i have driven an r8 with a v8 and it is a great car in many ways, but underpowered...then again everything seems underpowered to me
