50 MEANS 50
The Traffic Division of the Operations Support Bureau and the Patrol Division of the Fairfax County Police Department, in cooperation with the Virginia State Police, will launch a two-week initiative, “50 Means 50”, along Route 7100, the Fairfax County Parkway. This campaign kicks off on Sunday, April 17 and targets aggressive and reckless driving; including speeding, texting while driving, following too closely, and failure to pay full time and attention on the Fairfax County Parkway.
Motor squad officers along with patrol officers from several district stations throughout the county and Virginia State Troopers will be assigned specific enforcement duties along the parkway.
A variety of vehicles will be utilized including: motorcycles, Mustangs, Camaros, Impalas, pick-up trucks and other unmarked and marked police vehicles.
The stepped-up enforcement will take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until its conclusion on Saturday, April 30.
The intent of the initiative is to reduce the overall average speed on the parkway and to reduce the number of property damage, injury, and fatal crashes, making the parkway a safer place for all.

Got yanked by the silver Camaro they have. Real nice lady officer though! Was definitely going way faster then I should have been, but she gave me a "failure to maintain attention" $30 ticket with no points on the license. Can't argue with that! This was on Rt. 28 in Herndon, but I have also seen their undercover black Mustang GT so they're definitely out there guys. My buddy also said he saw an undercover motorcycle cop on 66 today.

Fair Lakes, 04/17/11
It was a clear day today, not cold, and only a light breeze, so the cars were out!
Corvettes (and their engines) were well represented today -
Bob's (RSR Guy's) Lister Jaguar has a modified Z06 engine.
The original ZR-1 engine.
A Callaway Corvette.
We had this early 'vette, as well.

Thanks for the pictures, Brady. I'm Bob Collum; I own the red Lotus Elise.
(I have the same problem with names - I might remember your username, or maybe your first name, but rarely both...)

Depending on how early all of the eggs are found around the yard, I hope to make it up for a cup of coffee.
