I had asked Dino, the owner of the Gulf Racing-liveried CAV Ford GT replica to come back with this car, and have his twin brother bring his modern Ford GT. He graciously agreed. I wanted the opportunity to have us all see these two cars, side-by-side.
The CAV is a beautiful, quite faithful reproduction of the original car. It appears to really be 40" from ground to the roof (the origin of the nickname "GT 40"). It even has the 'bump' in the driver's-side door for Dan Gurney's helmet to clear. The CAV has a Roush 427 engine rated at 675hp.
It's very interesting to compare & contrast the two tributes to the original classic competition car.
Thanks for bringing these beautiful cars out!

Fair Lakes, 06/12/11 - Part 2
...but the Fords weren't all that showed up today...
Not a 'real' Porsche, this speedster is made by Intermeccanica - the same company that made the Italia we see sometimes at Katie's.
Jason brought his orange Elise.
That's a Superformance Cobra Coupe replica.
1969 427 Corvette.
Audi R8.

How about hosting them online and then hotlinking them instead? That way you can post as many as you want up to 40 I believe. You can use sites like flickr, photobucket, etc.
