Clear wrap for entire car...anyone know who can do this?
I had my front done at Rockville when my Turbo S arrived, but I noticed that the company they use (forgot their name, but I think same folks that did Al's GT3RS) did not do a good job. Parts of the front looked likethey used an exacto knife to cut some edges and it had punched through the bumper sorta.
I have my GT2RS coming in about 45 days and was hoping to have this lined up with someone that can do this right. Cost is not an issue for work done properly. Looking at wrapping entire car.

The BMW guys are always posting up about the local groups. Cliff in MD, Raja in VA. Take your pick.

Another member by the name of atelung had his whole GT3 RS wrapped and it looks fantastic. I'm not entirely sure where he got his done, but I believe it was the same gentleman who wrapped my whole front end of my GT3. His name is Cliff and his company is Auto Armour in Colombia, MD. I can give you his contact information if you would like it. I was very pleased with the job he did.

Recommend Cliff at Auto Armour.
Auto Armour

email cliff@parabolica-autosport.com
He has wrapped entire cars before.
the link below is my review + photos. The last pic is a Porsche GT3 RS he did that is completely wrapped.
Prices are competitive w/ others in the area, his work is guaranteed, and the product is warrantied.
He did a great job w/ me (M5 was done in July '10) and no issues since.

Alex, as others have mentioned, Cliff of Auto Armour did my car. It's probably not as good as Premiere from the west coast seems to be, but I have to believe in our neck of the woods, he has to be among the best. But enough talk about the wrap. 45 days?!!! Please just make sure you call me when it gets here. I need a ride so I can tell you whether your extra $100K (over my lowly RS) is worth it. Have they told you whether the mass delivery is Barber or some other track? Al
From what I've read everywhere, everyone loves the power of the 2RS but still take the 3RS over it for it's NA motor. I'd be more than happy to let you take the 2RS for a spin and you decide for yourself buddy

Excuses….excuses….When we did your car it was about bazillion degrees outside and they had us do it in the dingy, dirty, dark wash bay where the wash/detail guys were washing and buffing cars. We stopped doing work there at Rockville not long after for that exact type of reason. They had nowhere suitable for us to work and we don’t want our name on unhappy customers… just like this. We used to work at their storage site few miles away and then that ended cuz some contractor started storing his Bobcat in out space, then we were using the Porsche service lane with good shade and then some parts guy piped up and said we were blocking his Z-Max display…. A big WTF!!?? Getting into the service area was always totally out of the question for whatever reason…. Dealership politics…… I could write a thesis on that. They do have a new GM now and met him and his people who came with him and hoping to start working there again. He has seen what we can do in proper conditions and said he can get us a proper spot and is all about it.
We wrap whole cars pretty frequently (whole front ends on a daily basis), including a lot of work for VW NA (VW/Audi/Bentley/Lamborghini) preferably in our shop in Columbia, MD with proper climate control and lighting. Doing clearbra is in some ways more condition-sensitive than painting b/c you can’t buff-out or clear-over any imperfections (we paint too).
Al - come on give us our props…… re Premiere in pictures it is very very difficult to tell paint / clearfilm finish quality. I’ve seen a lot of Premiere jobs in person and they are indeed very very good, but I’ve seen some from them lesser than what we did on your car for sure. I’ve seen your car at Cars & Coffee multiple times and hung around a bit and people have no idea the car is filmed over. One time a guy who works for Ivan/IMA was there and was telling and showing people and they were amazed.
We just finished a special project in conjunction with 3M corp. on Lamborghini LP560 with new-ish VentureShield Matte-Finish film. It is way hot. Like Al’s car every speck of paint is covered on the car. 3M has a press release coming out on the car and will be at DC auto show and owner is local and gets a round so hopefully when weather breaks it will be out and about. I will post some pictures.
AvusRs6 – would love to do your car. I am very confident saying that there is nobody else anywhere east who is doing anything remotely close to what we are doing with top-films.

Yes we (Cliff @ Auto Armour) did your white TT-S at Rockville. I can assure you that a knife never "punched through the bumper", a less than perfect edge-trim maybe.

I will have my car flatbedded to your facility after the car arrives at Rockville. Then will probably either pick up the car at your place or have it flatbedded to my house when done.
PM me your phone number please.

Alex, one more thing, which is critical--get someone to do a professional detail before the film is applied. If you do have Cliff do the wrap at his shop, get the detailer to show up there. Cliff says he can do it, but that is a bit like getting a detailer to apply clear wrap. You should get a specialist. Al

Cliff prepped or "detailed" my car before applying the clear bra for the areas i wanted covered - turned out great and I had no issues.
but if the whole car is getting wrapped, i see your point. To each his own i guess.
