This run will be a reverse route of Skyline Run V. The first half of the drive will be smooth, pretty, with bursts of speed depending on the locals. We'll start out in Middleburg, VA at 10am and cruise down some of the most beautiful roads in VA until we get to Front Royal, VA. Lunch will be at the traditional Melting Pot Pizza (cash only). The run will pick up from there on fast, lineless, twisty back roads. These roads usually have very little to no traffic which means we can be very 'spirited'. This will bring us all the way back to Middleburg and then a little further to Stone Ridge, VA where we'll stop. Addresses will be posted soon.
Why start out with the smooth roads? As some of us know, the supercar/vintage drivers aren't fond of tight back roads which can have uneven/broken surfaces. This, hopfully, will encurage those drivers to come along for the first leg, enjoy lunch, and then do what they wish for the return trip while the rest of us push the limits on back roads.
