EXOTICS CRUISE: VA/DC to Supercars on State Street Charity Event

With the show just over a week away, a cruise from the Virginia and DC area has been arranged... the route will provide ample stops for gas and food and will begin at the first location in Tyson's Corner.

The show is a non-profit show, entirely to raise money for the American Cancer Society. It is to be held in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday August the 13th, 2011. Any and all details about the show can be found on the website.

Participants of this cruise will leave promptly at 9:00am and arrive at Harrisburg's City Island for registration/check-in at approximately 12:30.
What to bring:
- Quick detailer, cloths, etc. if you want to clean your car before the show.
- Smart phone, navigation system, or atlas.
- Camera, walkie talkie, etc.
- Please also arrive at your first stop with a fuel tank of gas.
- A printed copy of this post and the map below.

Outlined below is the route itself along with the time frame for the cruise:
A. TYSONS CORNER, VA [arrive whenever – leave by 9:00am]
The Northern VA people should meet at the Starbucks in Tysons Corner, VA. (8520 Suite D, Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA, 22103) 703-760-7037
This should be a familiar location to many and it’s close to the beltway.

[30 min drive to College Park, MD]
B. COLLEGE PARK, MD [arrive 9:30am – leave by 9:50am]:
The group will be stopping at the IKEA parking lot in College Park to join up with any others from the area(10100 Baltimore Ave., College Park, MD 20740). Again, this should be a familiar location to people. We won’t be stopping for long, but it should give us enough of a window to connect.

C. BALTIMORE, MD [arrive 10:35am – leave by 10:55am]:
Another stop and meetup spot at the Bob Evans (400 W. Padonia Rd., Luthersville-Timonium, MD 21093). Again, short window for everyone arriving, but we should have just enough time to get a quick break for fuel.

D. YORK, PA [arrive 11:40am – leave 12:00pm]:
The group will make this, the last stop before making the drive into Harrisburg in York, PA at a Rutter's Gas Station. For anyone else in the area who wants to join up (160 North Hills Road, York, PA 17402)

In case anyone is interested in a more "scenic" drive...let me know. I'll be taking a route from Colesville up through Westminster and out just south of Codorus State Park. Then up Rt 516 to Rt 116 and into York. Where I plan on meeting with the rest of the group to roll into Harrisburg.

Matt Wiley is looking to cruise up with someone from the York stop... he is a professional photographer and would like to shoot both video and photos for that part of the cruise if anyone is interested in having him tag along, he is a cool guy and will be volunteering the entire event with coverage. Let me know and I will pass the word on to him.

I think you were behind me today on 29 South round 12. I was cruising the M Coupe for a brisk morning drive.

... I'll be taking the scenic drive (HWY is usually a blur... especially when passed by the random think I'm fast cool guy on the bikes and at 120 to his surprise in his mirrors is a blk P-car.) if any one asked I was driving Ms. Daisy yesterday.
