Ryan's Car Show, Aug. 20th @ 12:00pm in Ashburn, VA
Hey all, got word of this event at Katie's last Sat. The car show portion is being hosted by the Porsche Club of America, but I confirmed with the organizers that all cars are welcome to participate. I'll be out of town, but it sounds like a great post-Katie's activity. Please see the details below.
----------------------------
Join us at the Broadlands Village Center for a charity car show for a great cause and with activities for the entire family and not just a car show.
TIME : Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 12pm (Noon) to 3:30
PLACE: 43150 Broadlands Village Center Plaza, Ashburn, VA ( Exit #5 off Greenway- toll road)
Registration: A $10 donation (or more if you are able)
This event is for the benefit of Ryan Diviney, a young man from Ashburn, Virginia. Ryan was brutally beaten on November 7, 2009. He has been in a coma ever since. His father, Ken, provides round the clock care for Ryan. Ryan’s medical bills, many of which are not covered by insurance, are astronomical. We are and some local businesses are pulling together to help this family. For more information on this cause please visit his father’s blog http://ryansrally.org
We need a big turnout, so please invite all your friends. All year show cars are welcome. “People’s choice” awards with Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Car show parking will be in the Broadlands Village Center Plaza parking.
There will also be a wide variety of events including Safeway wine tasting tent with cheese & *******s, moon bounces, grab a snow cone or cotton candy. They can even swing by the carnival games to win fun prizes!

That's a very sad and horrific stroy...one that could have been avoided. I think it's ok to like a sports team but this sorta crap shows how lame people can be over a damn team (win or lose it makes no difference in the fans life, unless you actually have a lot of cash riding on a game - which none of these college guys would have) ....
I like my sports teams also, but win or loose at the end of the day life goes on, plain and simple... to hurt someone like that over a damn argument on sports teams, what the heck is this country coming to....this isn't Europe and it's not soccer!!!
