In regards to your comment on "car racism", you can't please everyone. That said, the organizer typically has a focused group of car types. That is his choice, he has every right to do so, and he has his reasons. His runs have always been successful, without incident, and a blast to be a part of.

Don't shoot the messenger on this, but typically the organizers definition of "exotic" is your high end Euro cars. We've had Lambos, Porches GT2s, etc join us in this run. However, on one occasion, we did have a new Nissan GTR join us.

To me this hobby was always about the people, the stories, the camraderie and sharing the passion for cars regardless of what cars we owned.
Regardless of my choice of cars, the cars I currently own, or the cars I will own...I would rather hang out with a bunch of good people who drove subcompacts than a group of eletists or "car-ist" folks with exotics who looked down on others... both groups may be just as passionate but it's the group that was more people centric without exclusion that would capture what the hobby is all about. ..the whole premise is to come together for a love of the cars, the lifestyle, and the passion and to be around people who accepted each other for that and could share in that spirit with one another regardless of the car they drove.

VERY well said. And an NSX can be considered an exotic or not, but either way it's a nice car so it really shouldn't matter. BMW's are hardly exotics and they seem to be accepted on this ride. Why limit the ride to certain makes or groups? You'll just aleinate a lot of great people.

Sorry if it came off as awkward, and I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone. I just thought it prudent to share my previous observations, experiences, and knowledge of how the organizer organizes his runs and his preferences. He is in no way stuck up or anything. But I agree, I could have simplified the statement.
These are some amazing roads. If anyone else were up for it, I would be interested in a make/model-free run in the future.
