This will be the last Skyline Run of the year so I decided to make it a little special. The best roads within driving distance for our area are in West Virgina. They're gorgeous, empty, and the speed limit is either 55 or not posted on almost every mountain road. I think this is the closest you can get in the US to the experience of driving Bavaria. In order to reach these amazing roads we will have to make this a two day trip. Saturday will include the bulk of the driving, staying at a nice hotel in the heart of West Virgina. Sunday morning will include about 2 hours of driving on the best road in the state (save the best for last) headed to I81. Once on I81, the Run is over and everyone should have plenty of time left to enjoy their Sunday at home.
So the question is, which weekend works best for everyone? If more than one weekend works for you, please vote for each. Please also contact everyone you know that has been wanting to do a Skyline Run to let them know its back for the best Run yet!
Below are some pictures and video taken while testing the roads last November. [I'm not the one driving in these videos ]

Wait an effing second...
Get back from lunch, check out 6speed, clicked link to m3post, saw roads, saw waterfall... wait I know that waterfall!!! I grew up a few miles from there!
I want to vouch for how awesome that road really is. Count me in if you crazy BMW guys will let me tag along. Maybe I can convince my parents to host a BBQ

Past runs have had a donation for charity, varying from $20-$50. In this way it supports a good cause, and keeps away those drivers that are as you called, "riff raff".
Not sure on this run if there will be a charity, but since it seems like it will be a 2 day ordeal, i'd venture to guess it will probably be free, and space limited based on amount of room in the hotel, etc. Not sure yet. But the simple fact of paying for gas, 2 day trip, cost of a hotel, etc would probably keep away unwanted not serious, guests (aka riff raff...lol).

Wondering if I can do a full two days though. Maybe do the first day then cruise back, I don't know. Definitely a busy time for the mountains.
