Amish Country Cruise PART TWO!!: October 23rd: Lancaster, PA
The first thread that I modified and updated started to get to cluttered...
so here is a clean thread for the event.
Same details as before, just copied over...
Part two!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey again everyone...I was kindly assisted by the restaurant in making a reservation to accomidate 50 people (and of course they offered to accomidate as many people as we can get)... and apparently the man that introduced himself to me originally and whom offered to close the parking lot was the CEO, not the manager lol... so Im sure we will be taken care of nicely!
This said, the restuarant generously offered that the parking lot be roped off for us!!! and they are more than willing to accomidate as many people as we can get (at the first event we filled three tables of 10 and service went excellent... plus they serve everything bottomless!!!)
Jennifer at Plain and Fancy made the reservation for us to meet:
October 23rd, 2011 @ 1:00 P.M.
Hopefully everyone who was there will be able to make it back out! as well as those who missed it!!!

Details that are set:
Date: SUNDAY October 23rd, 2011
Time: 1:00 (we've planned for lunch since it will allow people to cruise up after any Sunday mornin' cars and coffee events from all areas. ex: cruise up from Vienna, VA is just under 2 hours and 45 minutes, which means if the group leaves cars and coffee at 10 and get gas, they can easily arrive by 1 as long as traffic cooperates)
Juan has a backroads run for those coming up from the Maryland region... updates to follow!
There will be a group from Katie's Cars and Coffee in VA, Tyson's Corner in MD, and others joining in from the Baltimore/York areas to head up to the Dunkin Donuts in Linglestown, PA... from which we will all link up and head about 50 minutes East to the Plain and Fancy as a group. Feel free to link up with us at any point, and for those of you from the Eastern part of the state, or even the Coast, there will be people cruising from your areas as well that can link up and form a caravan to the restaurant to meet up with everyone.
Cost: anyone is welcome to buy my food lol just kidding. Obviously, no charge for the event, just money for food and gas...
Info: Just a bunch of car enthusiasts looking for a great home-style meal, this said, no restrictions on make/model, if you have a car and are looking for a good time, come out!
REGISTRATION: ADD YOUR NAME TO THE LIST IF YOU ARE A DEFINITE, AND IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, BUT ARENT POSITIVE, ADD YOUR NAME AND MENTION THAT... IT WILL HELP WITH PLANNING MAINLY (reservation/count to tell the restaurant and parking anywhere we go)
Details open to suggestions:
Ideas for after the lunch part of the cruise are being tossed around: Ultimately we will definitely have plans for after the lunch part of the meet in Lancaster, which is not limited to any of the following:
I think an ice cream run after to a local shop would be a ton of fun... the only thing I need to look into yet is parking, any other options will be considered though... maybe even a Hershey Park run if people are up for a nice drive once were all togehter as a group... I know the area very well and could take a scenic route to Chocolate World! where I know they have not only ample parking, but also have the freshest Hershey's Chocolate you can buy... (I can get anyone an employee discount=winning)
Like last time***EVERYONE IS WELCOME... the more the better!***
THANKS!!!
Evan Ross here... any questions dont hesitate to ask! text or call 717 514 8615 or speedy3038 dot com or messege me on here.

There are a lot of options for ice cream but I can't think of any nearby that will provide 25-30+ parking spots. A few places are closed on Sundays or closed for the season, also.

There's a bank parking lot next to the shop that can hold 15-20 cars.
Their own parking lot will hold 12-15 but the entrance is at an angle and will scrape most body work. You can enter and leave very slowly but it'd block traffic and take awhile for several cars to get into their lot.
There's also parking along the street.

This parking lot should hold 60+ cars. Most of the stores in that lot are closed on Sundays. The restaurant closes at 2 but the ice cream shop is open til 9 pm. There are a lot of back roads from Plain & Fancy to Brickerville. A straight drive is about 20 miles, 35 minutes but you can stretch that to 40-50 miles/ 70 minutes.

drove her out to Summit in the rain the other day ...that was a lot of fun ... not nearly as whacky as the downpour on the way back from state street though!
