^^^ now do that 30 times in a half hour, that's what coming out of oak tree corner onto the back straight of VIR is...3rd gear ful to WOT topping out the car thru 4,5, and 6... in my racecar I top the car out twice a lap so lets say you do 15 laps in a session, that's 30 times you feel what you felt in one session!

Come to the track with me, no Wendy in the passenger seat though just an instructor...I promise you won't be able to stop stop smiling!

going to the track is fun...you'd love it. did a few trackdays when my car was new.

 

Not sure if tracking a 500hp car the first time out would be advisable.... My only "racing" experience is auto cross school in a stock 240... And a few runs in my turbo miata

 

Ken ur 500 bhp car is fine. If anything its better w a high hp rwd car youll learn how to transition throttle and braking better itll teach you more discipline and patience to roll onto throttle for starters. You only go as fast as u feel comfortable with, there is no pressure you are out there to learn and have fun, that's it. This is a school not a race. So yes your car is just fine bro, no worries.

 

z06's are great track cars too. I agree with Sunir...it's not a race...it's to improve your own driving skills.
