Crossed over into 100k this morning!
Bought it with 28k. Averaged 8k miles per year of ownership. The only major work done has been:
Transmission rebuild at 40k (under warranty)
Oil pressure sender relocation at 55k
New starter at 85k

Really great turnout yesterday!!!
Seems like the "squirrels" are getting a little more nutty... I really wish people would save the engine revving and high-speed exits for further down the road... Don't need to draw any more attention than we already do...

Lionel, with the Capital Triumph Register, handed out flyers to remind British car owners about Britain On The Green, a great British car show in Alexandria, VA, held this year on Sunday, April 29th. Last week, he had his TR6 - this week, he drove his TR7. Here a link to show info -

I plan to go, but may have company in town, so I doubt I'll be able to meet up beforehand. I look forward to seeing that great DB9 again!

Hey all! We are very excited that this venue has caught on and what used to be a quiet 20 +/- car even has grown to over 100 cars and sometimes goes on until noon!
We all need to be reminded that we can only have this event as long as Kohl's, Starbucks, Dick's, and the Condo's at the end of the lot tolerate us and our use of their parking lot. When we started this over a year ago, we all agreed to the following "guidelines":
1. Spend $$ at these retailers and let them know you are with the cars and coffee meet - they are less likely to ask us to leave if they benefit financially from our presence!!
2. Be courteous to the non-car folks in the lot - if they complain, we will likely lose the lot
3. Please do not rev loud engines - yes it is cool and it sounds great but we are the only ones who appreciate it! Remember that there are condo's at the end of the lot by Dick's. Too many noise complaints and we will have to find a new place.
3. When you arrive and leave, please do not drive down the road directly in front of the stores. Enter and exit using the road adjacent to Starbucks. That minimizes the impact of our presence on everyone shopping at the center and keeps our loud cars away from the Condos.
4. Finally, and most importantly, no burnouts, tire squealing, or drag race starts when you turn onto Fair Lakes Circle. We all love to do it (myself included) but that is the fastest way to have the police become part of our meet.
If we all embrace these guidelines, we can continue to meet and enjoy this great opportunity to hang out with fellow car-guys. Please show everyone who uses this lot respect and understand that not eveyone is as warped as we are!!
Thanks very much and see you Sunday!

I'm sure they would love that. Point of order though......does anyone actually know who the landlord is of that parking lot? I'd like to send him a cake.
