Fair Lakes, 05/20/12

A really good turnout of cars at Fair Lakes today, due in part to the fact that the Mopar folks used us as a starting point to go to their 'MoparPalooza' event at the nearby Dodge dealer. Lots of Vipers, and lots of Challengers in attendance, along with some other Chrysler products.

Also, local Jaguar enthusiasts met at Fair Lakes today, to go to a group lunch afterwards. This is a great place to meet for a drive or lunch meeting, afterwards.

it is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I must announce my nonattendance at tomorrow's meet due to mildly inconsequential events beyond control. In my absence I believe that the many good gentlefolk of steady attendance will represent well. Stay strong and let me know if you want any totally awesome souvenirs from the Delaware coast.

Fair Lakes, 06/10/12

Out of town, I missed the last two weeks of Fair Lakes. I was told I missed the biggest ever, last week. Here's what we had this week.

We had 3 Lotus there this week, and my 2007 Elise was the oldest Lotus there - Jeff J had his 2-week-old 2011 Exige, and we also had a newer-than-mine Starlight Black 2007 Elise.

^^^ bob there's a young dude from woodbridge called Jameson Willoghby with a yellow Elise we've recently met at VIR and then again on the Euro DC tour on Sunday...surprised he doesn't show up to the Kohls meets to add another lotus in the mix for ya!

Yes, we've seen Jameson at both Katie's and Kohl's on occasion. Hope to see you in the DB9 soon - is the wheel fixed yet?

^^^yup looks perfect perfect! Aston makes some incredibly strong sport pack wheels - it was not bent or cracked, just curb rash, once refinished it looked as good as brand new. In fact we did a side by side comparison and you could not tell the difference, the factory decals/markings, numbers, engraved code are identical only the face was re-finished to eliminate the curb rash or any nicks on the surface...really happy with the work Paul's guys did, perfect results and speedy turnaround!
