Waterfest is an all VW/Audi show held in Englishtown, NJ. This was their 18th annual show and the quality of cars certainly did not disappoint. I rode up with Sunir in his MK4 GTI 337 which took home 2nd place in his class (MK4 stock class). The car that beat him was a VW Golf from France that had a VR6 engine and AWD...basically a 4-door R32.

Most of those cars probably handle at about 20% of their production capalities.... thats assuming the stretched tires don't drop a bead and kill somebody. I was young and dumb once (well I'm still dumb), but we never did sh-t like that, even on shoestring budgets we tried to take cars forwards.... not backasswards. Oh well. Somebody is obviouslky making money off of it.

LOL It was a great event. I had a blast! TONS of cars and just a different scene then we see at say cars and coffee. I met some good people, hung out the day walking around and Tonk and I got there fairly early and were able to clean up the car and get her ready for the judged showfield (big thanks to Tonk for helping and taking pics and coming up to the event with me)! I took home second in class, not bad considering there were like 8 or 9 cars in our class that showed up out of the 17 or so registered. Very friendly people at this event...they are a very unique crowd, they LOVE their cars and the marque...VW the company was even there to show support and brought over Tom Kristensens and Alan McNish's LeMans winning audi!!!
LOTS of modded cars...like Cliff said, my 337 is factory original and I think that's the way I'd like to keep it. This crowd does love modifations though, tons of MK4 and MK5 GTI on big drops, popped wheels, bags, some very very customized cars there for sure!
