The people have spoken and the new location has been chosen (sorry 6Speed - looks like most members here wanted Anton's but overall K2K was choosen from Facebook and all the forums). It will be at Kart 2 Kart. K2K will be opening early for us, will allow us to use their facilities, have karting available, and we are working on having coffee too. Hope everyone can make it to the next meet. Let's pack the place!

Not happy with K2K. I think we need to go back to Troy Caribou. What was the nail-in-coffin for this location?

The landlord said that we could not meet here and the cops would be called. I also really liked the location but he wasn't willing to work with us (even Caribou headquarters was in contact with him but it is ultimately his choice since it is private property).

K2K should be able to work...yes, it's a little less central and the parking isn't as nice and there are no specialty coffees but we have a place that welcomes us and that is the most important part of any of the above items.

Finally...looks like spring is not too far away. Hopefully we are not jinxing ourselves by posting this, but we are going to try our first meet of the season on Saturday April 2nd. The meets are at the same place as last year at Kart 2 Kart in Sterling Heights. The meets go from 8:30 to 11:30 and K2K offers discounted races at $12 till noon.

The best way to keep up with the happenings of the meet are on the facebook page. All are welcome and hoping to make this meet even larger than past years. We are going to stay on the same schedule being the first Saturday of every month (possibly moving for 4th of July weekend).

I would love to see more exotics show up! But I can't say anything, because I don't own one, so I can't contribute to that.

I love the Kart 2 Kart shows though!

I can handle bringing out the exoitcs its just getting the cars and schedules to coordinate with a small time window.

You don't have to go Go karting if you don't want. You can just come to the show and see the cars if you're interested.

Cars and Coffee

Nice showing today but it turned into Bimmerfest. 2 996 turbos, both recent owners, 1 sweet Gallardo with a cool owner who actually drives the car, 1 GTR, very nice Exige and Elise. Otherwise a smattering of other cars and some very nice BMWs.
