Wow, I realize I haven't been posting pics from C&C too much recently...

This month was a good one! Absolutely perfect weather and a great turnout with some truly cool automobiles! It was nice to see a nice mix of new and old cars although there seemed to be a lot more new cars this month compared to months past. My guess is that the owners just recently picked the cars up and want to get out and enjoy them as much as they can before the snow falls.

There were also a lot of "Chump Cars" that came out. Chump Car is similar to the LeMons series in that the cars are really cheap race cars. It was fun to see some of the goofy cars that were trailered or driven to the event.

Anyway, for a holiday weekend, we had a pretty large group of people. My guess would be 300-350 cars.

Anyway... On to the pics!

Cars & Cafe 9/4/10

 

Nice pics! This past Saturday was my 2nd time going to this. I went in August and it was pouring down rain the whole time. September was much nicer weather. I was looking to see if you had any pics of my car but didn't seen any, although I can't go to the rest of your pics because it's blocked here at work. I'll check when I get home tonight. I was in a gray G37 Coupe.

Hey, just registered, first post here. This seems like a great community and a good deal of Minnesotans.

I just moved back to Minneapolis (grew up here), and I was just making sure that there is another one of these coming up in October.

Also, are there any other good events in the area for a big car guy?

 

Yes. We will be having our last event of the year the first Saturday in October. See you there!

 

Excellent! Looking forward to it. Also, is the AutoMotorPlex open to the public on a daily basis? I just really want to go check it out.

 

Yeah, C&C goes through October. Also, if you are a big car guy, check out the meets hosted by Ricekiller.com. The site is dedicated to hosting car meets that are sponsored and sanctioned so that they don't get shut down by property owners and police.

They have a meet every Monday night from about 7ish-10ish. The meet was in Fridley, but due to permit issues by the city of Fridley, it will be at Elite Autosports in Blaine this upcoming Monday. That will just be a temporary location until they finalize a contract for another permanent weekly location.

There are typically about 150-200 cars there, ranging from old school & new school muscle, to old school & new school imports. Not many exotics show up right now, but they are trying to encourage more to come out to grow the event.

 

I'm really looking forward to this tomorrow. I have a meeting at 10:30 (close by) so I'm going to try and show up around 7:30 - 8ish. I'll be taking lots of pictures as well.

If you see a really tall blond kid with a monster camera, say hey. The name is Scott. I'll totally take pics of your cars and edit and distribute them as you wish.

Looks like the weather is going to be a little balmy, but at least it should be sunny. Is there a place for me to park? I'm sure no one has interest in looking at a stock 1994 Accord.

The name of the event is Cars & Cafe', by the way, not Cars & Coffee. (I'm from Puerto Rico, Tyler is 1/2 Puerto Rican and Ricky who is in charge of Cars & Cafe' in Orlando is also from PR)
