I just took it on a brief drive...very fun...handles great, feels light...i looked it up says its around 2650lbs! damn...i didnt realize its so light. Thats pretty good. Much faster than the auto cooper s convertible that we had. When I floored it thing almost torque steered me into another lane...wasnt ready for that. Havent driven a fast fwd car in a long time.

I was visiting up north and was driving my friends 2010 Mini S automatic, and thought the torque steer was quite noticeable accelerating on a turn. So when I returned home I thought about maybe buying one since the payments were so small, great MPG, and fun to drive factor. I went to the dealer to test out a manual tranny, and I almost went into the next lane everytime I shifted at a high rpm, even going straight. I have never driven a fwd car that was so fast, but the torque steer was a huge turn-off. Even though the torque steer was much worse in the manual it was much more exciting to drive then auto.

Thinking of having OE Tuning tune it.
Yep! sounds right...but that also makes it fun...like taming a beast (a baby beast) ...i think with some grippier tires it wouldnt torque steer so much

looks like this one has continental tires. my 2009 has dunlop run flats in the same size and the torque steer is there with those tires as well. I believe that decent non run flats will improve this greatly. something like the RE-11's or the Dunlop Direzza Z1 star spec.
on another note- too bad the BMW paint is so crappy. talk about orange peel in the second photo...
