Anyone ordered a Countryman?

All:

Ordered in October, should be here in late Jan. Countryman Cooper S All4, in silver with black roof/hood stripes/wheels/mirror caps & black leather interior.

Anyone else ordered one?

Cheers,

Paul.

I've seen several in our market, but I have not driven one. We'll probably stick with our R53 but if you want a livelier discussion on the clubman, try www.northamericanmotoring.com , if you have not been there already.

On that other board you have individuals already driving their Countrymans on the East Coast!

Nice! My friend is thinking about picking one up. Saw it today in the dealer. Looks very cool! How do you like driving it?

I like it, but it all depends on what you compare it to. Against the Mini Coupe, it's a lot bigger & taller. However, compared to pretty much everything else in its class (which is very hard to define) it's a blast.

Go drive one. Push it. You'll soon get your answer.

Cheers,

Paul.

Has anyone heard when the rear bench seat is going to be an option in the US? You can get it in Europe, but not here in the states for some reason

Edit: Oops, looks like it is coming to the states for the 2012 model!

Doc:

We actually prefer the individual seats because they recline & slide independently. However, Mini has messed up on 2 counts. 1) no heated windshield option in the US (only Canada) and the colours suck, hence we went with silver.

Cheers,

Paul.

I think for most passengers that would be great, but my 80lb shop supervisor would need the bench seat

I'm sure you could have a platform built to straddle both seats and the footwell.

Your 80lb hound would appreciate that!
