I've read that people watching the testing of the Spec-V GT-R timed it at 7:25 and its still in its testing stages.

and what do you mean no US spec cars were built other than test vehicles? they've been built months ago, where do you get these stupid ideas from? USDM spec cars have been delivered for months now in the grey market. and US allocations are at the dealerships already.

before you make assumptions again, ASK PEOPLE WHO KNOW ABOUT IT
How do you figure US Spec GTR's have been here through the gray market? Do you know the meaning of gray market cars? Gray market cars as defined here in the states are cars built to specs of another country brought to the U.S. through non manufaturer autorhorized distribution channels. That means any GTR's you are referring that have been here through the gray market is not really a U.S. spec car. If it were a U.S. Spec car, it would only be sold and distributed through Nissan Motors USA's distribution and retail outlets like your local Nissan dealer. Get your facts straight.

every left hand drive GTR on the road in every corner of this world is an USDM GTR, there've been plenty shipped to UAE. US is not the only gray market out there genius. an us spec car shipped to a different country is considered a gray market car for them.

get your fact straight

I dont know about 7:26,however i know the ZR1 ran 7:26.4 thats good, consider the change are to car Z06 to ZR1 are'nt drastic. Also WHY is it that one stalking about the new Cadilac CTS-V,its it did 7:59.32 on the Nordschleife, making it the fastest recorded production sedan on factory-spec street tires. Good on GM.

You're a sensitive little guy aren't you! I was referring to the early tests, and if you go to the GTR sites there is a lot of discussion on the test car that was used. There are GTR's here now so it will be interesting visiting the GTR sites and hearing from the people that actually have them.

Total double standard from all the GT-R haters.
They said it had a rollcage, just about ALL the cars that run there add a cage. If anything they add weight. The issue with the GTR was that it seems to have added POWER. Hence why the recent tests of them 0-60 and 1/4 mile wise are much slower....

LMAO. Now you claim the GT-R had more power on the 'Ring.

I assume you have some kind of evidence to support that.

How about those Sparco seats? Were they stock? Can I go down to Cadillac and find them inside a CTS-V? My point is, the car is not stock.

Oh please, every time a manufacturer hits the Nurburgring with intent of setting a time/record,official throughly check the cars suspension,tires,drive-train etc and everything is noted and checked/compared with documents specs that the Manufacturer provides the inspects. If Nissan understated the power the R35 Skyline had run on the Nurburg, and claimed the time. Nurburg officials we have denounced the time COMPLETELY.

What Nurburg officials? Nissan has done this in the past, Nissan fanbois still associate them with breaking the 8 minute barrier around the ring with the 277hp Nissan GTR R33 (similar time as the 550hp CTS-V). The best European magazines has been able to do outside driving the pre production mules were a lap 30+ seconds slower.

Manufacturers do cheat around the Ring quite regularly.

You dont just get up and drive on to the Nurburg, like its some road next to a park.Secondly there are also rule's and regulations when Automakers go for records and the same applies to individuals driver. There are officials and inspectors that run, regulate and keep the Nurburgring ringing smoothly,if you don't follow the rules,GO HOME. If Nissan Cheated then most of the other manufactures have also cheated, making many of the record times useless. SportAuto manged to get 7:50 with the Pre-Production,which is still a very good time.

Any proof of these other manufacturers? Does that mean I can call the 997 GT2 & ZR1 into question then? I mean, you said manufacturers do cheat quite regularly.
