looking forward to seeing how it goes. I want to run that tune, but want to make sure it is good and safe. My best run so far isn't as good as you, but I am still in the high 11's which I think is good. best run has been an 11.92 at 119 mph

I hope you can get that worked out. Seems like that cobb setup is good. you should be able to break into the 10's based on your current times

 

no, all the talk has scared me from using it. besides, the car pulls like a freight trane without it.

 

if you have the new update, you can launch all day long, and everything is covered, no more worries.

951 - that's exactly what i'm hoping for. if i see a 10.9 with just a tune, that would be awesome.

i was going to try and get some actuators, but i think i'm going to place that on hold, until i see how they pan out.

i might just get an exhaust and then another custom tune.

a few guys have this compliment and are getting 11.0's and 11.1's.

i'm trying to push the stock envelope as far as it can go before i add anything else.

 

have you tried mixing some race fuel in with your regular fuel? Although they say it isn't supposed to give you more power, it does. It basically keeps your ecu from pulling timing at WOT/full load and you might just get close to target with that. I added about 4 gallons of 100 to a tank of 91 and it appears to make a huge difference. literally wakes the car up.

 

i've contemplated this - and my tuner wants me to do it. but usually, each weekend i go to the strip, i don't get to 'play around' too much, as it's always,'let's see who can beat the gt-r this week.'

it's always race this guy and race that guy. and a lot of them say no race gas. i'll do it eventually, just to get that 10.

 

well you are really not doing race fuel, your just increasing your octane to 93-94 to keep your engine safe. Really, I will not run my car on the track with out mixing a higher octane level. if you happen to lean out and your ecu can't pull back timing fast enough you could detonate. so it is more for safety than anything else.

Mine bone stock today at MIR went 11.53! I drove bobs with the AP and midpipe to a 10.95 and Robs went 10.91 also Toms 10.94! Three 10sec GTRs and one stocker and AAMs went 11.0!

 

i had some bad runs this past sunday.

went back to cobb stage 1.

it started out ok - 11.40 - 1.8 60', 1/8 95mph, 1/4 121mph.

then the second run - 11.47 - 1.8 60', 1/8 97mph, 1/4 119mph. wtf????

i was stuck in the mid 11.4's (went on to test other tunes)

i was hoping for an 11.3.

i'm pissed. i'm probably just going to break down and pick up the gt motoring y-pipe (~$600), and get a custom tune from sharif ($600), so i can be fast like the rest of you guys.
