how does gtr work in winter? thinking of one to supplement gt3. maybe with snow or all season tires. is the front spoiler too low for suburban driving in ny with mostly plowed roads? also thinking of evo x as a less $ alternative

if you're just daily driving it, you'll see the regular costs of the oil change, diff fluids, brakes, transmission fluid, etc...
oil change - $170
transmission fluid ~$1k every 18,000 miles
if you use brembo brake pads ~$550 - 600 per axle. or $400 for all 4 from carbotech.
the manual recommends changing the rotors with the pads, but this is not required.
tires every 20,000 miles $1600 (from tire rack)
the pos's are free...

Yes. It was surprisingly easy to handle in flash flood rain, as well as snow. I had complete confidence in the car. My wife's 4WD wasn't this easy to control in inclement weather.

I kid you not, my wife uses the GT-R as the daily; using it to take the kids to the school etc.

my buddy's gt-r was great in snow, just driving through wet roads and snow i didnt feel a difference between driving on dry road but i havent spent that much time i guess i couldnt tell the difference but i really didnt feel one. i wouldnt recommend driving it in high snows though, take a different car lol if not, use it. maybe you can go offroading with the 4wd?

There is no way someone should drive a GT-R in the snow. That suspension is way to stiff and you're looking at 19 " wide snow tires at best. Buy a beater for the winter .... EVO or STI ... what is your flavor?

Wow teeth chattering? The roads must be horrible up there. I have no complaints about the ride at all. It to me rides better than my lexus

If a storms is that bad have a buddy pick you up in his SUV. Saves the cost of the second car, insurance, registration, maintenance etc. The insurance savings alone is $3000 a year in NY.
