any regrets?....

I have a GTR and a manual M3. Had trackday at Monticello this past summer and when I had to pick a car, I decided to use the M. I figured, for the track fee, it was more fun to heel toe and spar with my buddy who was there with his Cayman instead of just pummeling around in the GTR. If it was a timed event I might have take the GTR. In the end, shifting puts the sport in motorsports for me.

I've been a skyline fan for years... I was so excited when I heard the R35 was actually coming to the states. However, the lack of a true manual has kept me from pulling the trigger.
I'm still crossing my fingers and hoping they offer it down the road. Probably not going to happen... but who knows.
At this point I see the 997 Turbo as my next ride.

Yes because the scuderia (whihc only come in F1) is such a nice car and so much of a track car then it is fine with me. If I did get a lambo or ferrari I would search high and low for a manual transmission before buying one. In the price range of the GTR there are other car with manual trans. I would like more. I would take used GT3 over the GT-R all day long. This is just my opinion though. No reason to to raise your eyes. I am just confused as to why Nissan has only made manual available on the past GT-R and now only the dual clutch. It is fatser than a manual but for many years when manual was faster people still bought many automatics so this logic does not make any sense either. I can see why someone would want a GT-R over the other cars available but it is just not for me. If you own one i can see why you chose it. I do like your color shoices on your cars. The ISF color you have is BY FAR the best color available and one of my favorite colors available on ANY car.

I think the only way Nissan could achieve the performance numbers it wanted was to offer it the way it finally ended up. It also cost less in tooling and development since only 1 type of transmission is used. I honestly think a true Manual would have made the car even more complicated and slower. Remember now this car has 6 drive shafts with engine power sent to the trans in the rear first and from there is sent to the front diff and wheels unlike most AWD cars where it is transmitted to the front and rear via 5 driveshafts.
I understand that the GTR is not for everyone and can live with that versus out-right telling lies and such to defame the GTR. Different strokes for different folks and at least your honest and can spell out your reasons versus much of the hate that really makes no sense.
Thanks for the props on the ISF, I just wish I could see it more from the drivers side. I cant get my wife out of it and this is her first fast, semi-expensive car(something over 200hp) so she it really enjoying it. I just clean it!! LOL the first day she took it literally 5 mins later, she curbed the rear wheel.(talk about using self control)
LOL I just saw your collection of cars. All white, nice
