Mid-Pipe size?

what size of mid-pipe is better to put on a stock GT-R R35... 3" or 3.5" thick?, Resonated / None Resonated?, Catted / Catless?.

I went with the T1R Y-pipe, dual 76mm to 90mm resonated/catless. Love the new sound

76mm to 90mm was the same dimensions I have.

I went with the GTM street Y-pipe (dual resonated/decatted).

The stock main pipe back to the rear section is 76mm. So if your going to get JUST the midpipe, it won't help to go to 90mm (HKS and a couple other JDM companies only go to 80-85mm). What really helps is removing the second set of cats - this is where most of the gains come from. There are no sensors on the mid-pipe, so no alarms to worry about either.

I would only use the 90mm outlet as a criteria for purchase, if one plans to upgrade the rear section as well.

The dual resonators on the 76mm portions, I believe, makes it quieter for the daily drive, yet still opens it up enough to be slightly more 'throaty' than stock.

I believe the HKS Kansai is 85mm.

(I once had a spread sheet of ALLLLLL the mid-pipe/exhuast diameters - I don't remember where it is. I know, I know... Stupid)
