Forged Performance: E85 Build Up/Tune

We just wrapped up another GT-R project. Although I've tuned many cars on E85, this was our first GT-R. E85 continues to impress me, and what's remarkable is that the start up and overall driveability of the car is identical to petrol. Oftentimes with standalone ECU's it's a bit more of a struggle to get perfect operational manners from the engine when running E85, but the GT-R ECU using the Cobb AP Pro Tuning software took it all in stride.

We were able to make 665whp at just 20psi boost on our Dyno Dynamics dyno before running out of injector. This would be would well over 700whp on a typical domestic DynoJet. Perfect shifts and manners every single time. Total sleeper look from the outside, but a monster on the inside!

Modification List:
AMS Turbo Upgrade
AMS Catless Downpipe
CBRD Y-Pipe
HKS Legamax Exhaust
Forge Actuators
HKS EVC6 Boost Controller
HKS M-Series Spark Plugs
Greddy Front Mount Intercooler and Piping Kit with BOV's
Harmon Motive Intake
Swift Springs
Walbro 255 Twin Pump Assembly
E85 Fuel

We were running the Deatchwerks 850cc

Its a little smaller then we would usually go. The customer decided on E85 after the parts were installed. It still worked out great.

Tray hit it on the head. For typical E85/93 builds we run 1000cc injectors. But since the request to do an E85 was made by the customer very late in the game, we went with these injectors for the timebeing. I am sure the car will be back soon enough for Round II.
