Congrats on the GT-R! I too have owned a 996 turbo before the GT-R. I thought of the 996 turbo as the ultimate daily supercar. Once Nissan released news that the GT-R would be the new ultimate daily supercar and use the Porsche as the benchmark to beat and at half the price, I didn't want to believe it. BUT after owning a GT-R now for 2 years it truly is the ultimate daily supercar!!!! Fast, handles on rails, easy to drive, plenty of room, garners neck snapping attention and admiration everytime I drive it. Always puts smile on my face!

Now that u own one, u will have To explain/defend yourself daily on why u have a GT-R especially when u have a love for Porsche too. Non believers can't believe the GT-R can outrun the apocalypse at half the price of other supercars!

Keep your car stock for at least 6 months. And then the Cobb, midpipe. You
will be amazed at how the GT-R becomes a new animal with 80 To 100 Hp!

get a custom tune , DP , MP and it will run low 7's 60-130 ..1/4 should be 10.6-10.9 on runflats..

it will change the whole car alot more responsive and fun to drive

Congrats on the purchase!!!! When I was considering the GTR back in 2009 many said it was too much of an "overlap" with my 997TT.

Im so glad I got it-- modding though is a must on this car.

So here's another thing the previous owner apparently installed on the car. Red parking lights.

I'm dropping the car off at my local dealer tomorrow morning for the 12-month POS and oil/filter change. I wonder if they'll find anything else?
