60-130 comparison between stock, Cobb and Switzer
#33
You need to buy a Cobb accessport, once you have that, a tuner will email you a file with a boost setting based on the mods you have .. you will then upload it to your cobb and then upload it to your car. once its uploaded you will make a pull in 3rd gear from 2-2.5k rpms all the way to redline.. then email the file back to the tuner until it get a perfect AFR and zero knock.
It may take a few pulls as the tuner will slowly ramp the boost..
hope that helps!

Okay, so Tym and I worked on my 100 octane file a little bit today, and although we aren't done yet...I wanted to share some preliminary numbers:
60-130: 7.32
0-60: 3.1
1/4 mile on P-box without LC: 11.0 @ 131.4
*mph was actually 132.2, but to make the trap speed commensurate with an actual dragstrip, I averaged out the last 66' of the run*
Remember, my car only has a cat-back, drop-in filters and tune. Fuel was 2/3 tank of Sunoco GT260 from the pump (100 octane). Peak boost was 18 psi.
Below is a 60-130 comparison graph between stock (9.99), Switzer cat-back + Cobb Stage 2 93 tune (8.71), Switzer cat-back + Switzer custom 93 tune (7.86) and Switzer cat-back + Switzer custom 100 tune (7.32).

that is an awesome improvement thus far, especially with just the addition of some 100 octane...i think you can get it in the 7.25 area on the 100 octane tune once finished....quite impressive for such a small amount of mods

I agree. It really comes down to how much boost Tym feels comfortable running. He's not a fan of high boost with the stock turbos due to the large amount of heat they generate, so we're trying to find the optimal compromise of timing and moderate boost to keep everything safe and consistent.

i'm interested in seeing what you decide to do next, although i do know that you did not want to "mod" this one that much

Awesome runs! Now I can't wait to receive my p-box from Neil, and get Tym to do a 104 octane re-tune next week. Its killing me.
Question: the "feet" or altitude on left. Is that based on sea level, or based on your starting point? I assume starting point, unless you are in a deep hole somewhere in Florida.

Awesome! I can't wait to drop off my car at Switzer. It really seems like Tym is a legend when it comes to these cars.
Nice runs, Scott! That put you ahead of a ZR1 with just a cat back, filters, and a tune. =)

This pretty much what you were expecting/hoping for when you purchased your vehicle, right?
Once this phase is finished (and you get into the 10's), you think you might stay here for a while?

The next logical stage for me would be P800 or above, so until I'm ready to take my car to that level, I'll stay where I'm at.
