60-130 comparison between stock, Cobb and Switzer
#61
Speak of the devil! Guess who's 60-130 time I'm going after, bro?
I haven't dyno'd the car, so I'm only guessing at the whp numbers. That said; I'm only running a peak of 18.02 psi and don't have downpipes or an intake, so I'm probably in the 550 awhp range on 100 octane.

Start in 3rd gear - 60-90, the car will shift into 4th around 90mph, and 5th around 120mph.

You guys are killing me here. I wanna play! I talked to Tym today. Unfortunately, I am stuck out of town a few more days. When I get back, I should have my new P-box Neil just shipped me and I can't wait to compare just for fun. Scott, thanks for posting this all up. I live in a small town, and if it wasn't for threads like this, I'd have no fun and friendly goals to catch. However, Im at 5600 ft. altitude, so major disadvantage. However, I will be running Sunoco 104 Unleaded, so maybe that can make a lil difference back up for the altitude???
Great job and thanks again for the fun facts.

I forgot about that. I think I was just thinking about drag racing, and the gears themselves...
Yeah, that would probably be best.
I've never done 60-130. I've always drag raced at the 1/4mi strip. Gearing is still valid, though.
You'd want to shift right before redline, because there a .2sec delay from hitting the paddle to actually switching gears (when in manual trans-R mode).

Put it in R-R-R, AUTO mode. Slow down to 35-40 mph. Floor it and bring her to 130+ (using the P-box speedometer). Done!

Went out to do some runs in my bone stock GTR. I did two runs only.
1/4 tank of gas
42* out
1st run started in third: Too lagy and felt slugish. 10.3
2nd run started in 2nd around 40: MUCH better. 9.6
Came home all excited to get Scott to verify it, and what do you know, forgot SD card at home.. Oh well.
Off to Switzer tomorrow..

I asked elsewhere, but I'll ask here also. Neil shipped out my vbox yesterday. Will I be able to interface with my computer and create nice graphs like the one presented here? Or does Scott have something else allowing him to do so? I heard it referred that Scott had to "verify" that stock run by scvett.
Nice runs and info again!
