60-130 comparison between stock, Cobb and Switzer

I've never taken this car past 7k in manual mode, but I'll give it a shot after the temps drop a bit more. Thank you very much for the info, Sam.

Heck, I thought the rev-limit was 7k, period, and didn't know R modes bumped it to 7400. You learn something new everyday!

No Problem Scott
on a side note ..sleepdoc and zilla on stock turbos with tune were getting 10.4x and thats not on E85 with 133-134 ..they were both shifting 7k-7300..
again, you might run slower.. but would be nice to see..
and scott you will need to click manuel mode first THEN R-R-OFF

does not sound right..
Ok when you start the car up , start driving in manuel mode so on the dash it should be 1M .THEN hold the R-R-OFF and it WILL lock the car into 100% manuel mode.. that means IF you dont hit the paddle it will hit the REV limiter under FULL throttle .. I think you pushed R and then clicked manuel..If you did it that way it will remove the R mode..
trust me you are not doing it right..

Certain tuners, however, bump the RPM's up by 100-300 from redline. I think this is done more that it just gives you a little net where if you shift at redline but accidently go to 7100rpm's, you won't run into the rev limited and lose a race because of a measly 100rpm's.
Neil, LMAO!

Vegas, no he is right. The GT-R will not allow you to rev past 7K RPM's. If you try to go past that, you'll bounce off the limited. Trust me.

very strange... my car was 100% stock when i bought it.. and in manuel R mode i was shifting 7300
my car is a 2009.. maybe they changed it in 2010?
even in auto RRoff the car would automaticly shift over 7200
my rev limiter was never raised..i have data logs shifting at 7375

Maybe you had a factory freak! lol I don't know what to tell you. All I know is that in my GT-R, RROff or R _ _ (anything) the car would not go over 7K RPM's. Even by 100rpm's over redline it would just bang the rev limiter until you shift. In auto R mode, 1st gear it short shifts a bit but everything else is right around redline, possibly a bit sooner. I do know some tuners raise the rev limit but otherwise that **** is not goin' over 7K. I've seen this on other GT-R's as well. BTW, my car is '09 as well.
Ill ask Jack@hplogic if he rasied mine.. and since my car has a new tune with Chris@AMS , ill ask him too..
as you can see im clearly over 7300
#116
No doubt bro! You can talk to jack but I'm pretty sure that he raises them just a bit. Switzer keeps them stock at 7k and from what I have seen in my car and other GT-R's is that 7K is the cutoff from the factory.
Scott, so you are getting better results shifting early? I always found my fastest times to be when shifting right at redline but I never tried shifting as short as 6400RPM's...definitely gotta try that out!

That's exactly what I did. 7k is my redline.
#118
I do, but it will vary from car to car. Let me know how it works for you.
#119
Have not spoken to Jack.. Joe @ cobb told me that alot of the tuners raise it 300rpms.. so that would explain why i am able to shift 7375
I guess Tym @ SPI leaves it alone...

Ya, I'm pretty sure that's the case. Thanks for the info either way, however.
