60-130 comparison between stock, Cobb and Switzer
Here is a 60-130 comparison between my GT-R bone stock, with a Switzer exhaust + Cobb Stage 2 tune, and then with a Switzer custom tune. All runs were made on the same stretch of road, which is around a 2.0% decline. All runs were in Auto mode, with all 3 switches set to 'R'. The car is full weight, other than the lighter exhaust components. Temps were in the 60s. I'm running the stock DPs, stock ICs, stock injectors and stock turbos. Actual modifications listed below:
-Best stock time: 9.99 (Exxon 93 octane - full tank - red line)
-With Switzer cat-back (y-pipe, connecting pipe, muffler), HKS filters and Cobb 'canned' Stage 2 (93 octane) tune - 8.71 (Exxon 93 octane - 1/2 tank - blue line)
-With Switzer cat-back, HKS filters & Switzer custom (93 octane) tune - 7.86 (Exxon 93 octane - 1/2 tank - green line)
Peak boost achieved was 17 psi (1.17 BAR). The car is considerably quicker everywhere, as well as more responsive. I'm extremely pleased with this setup.
UPDATE:-With Switzer cat-back, HKS filters & Switzer custom (100 octane) tune - 7.24 (Sunoco 100 octane - 1/2 tank)

Awesome Scott. Not bad for a conservatively tuned daily driver!
I was out in my Switzer e900 today and with the entire family in tow (and the dog in my lap), I ripped off a 4.45. After that my wife ***** slapped me.
Are you able to make it to MIR Imports Vs. Domestic next weekend?

Awesome info! It is amazing to me how easy it is to juice them up a bit. This makes me even more excited to get my 103 tune done. Just waiting for Cobb AP to get back from being upgraded at Cobb.
Thanks for the info
4.45. Wow! Note to self: don't be tempted, don't be tempted......

Scott:
Excellent write-up!!! It was also very timely...by the end of the week I should have my HKS filters, Cobb A/P and AAM mid pipe installed! I am kind of amazed at how much you picked up with the custom 93 tune over the canned Cobb Stage 2 tune. It looks like I should go the custom route. But I think I will go down pipes first and then get that set up custom tuned.

Didn't I tell ya Scott
Custom tune is just a couple hundred $$$'s. It makes a huge difference because the canned Cobb Stage 2 is tuned extra conservatively with lower boost so that it is safe. Custom tune makes a very nice difference, as you can see from Scott's results. For example, (with horrible track conditions) my friend was hitting 11.8-11.9's with a Cobb Stage 2 while I was hitting 11.3-5's with my ypipe and switzer tune.
