tt S vs 2012 GT-R

never one to add to these post but the fact is, a Porsche will always have value. in fact, if a Porsche is in great shape its worth can be 30k plus many decades after. yes that nissan is a fast car, but Porsche is personality type, not just a fast car. in ten years that nissan will be worth 15-20k max. nissan will never have the prestige of any porsche, never.. and 100k is not cheap.... just my 10 cents... but that car is fast!!!

I'm surprised people complained. Actually I guess I'm not. It reminds me of a time long ago when the Toyota Supra turbo came out hot on the heels of the latest and greatest P turbo of that time...

absolutely, the P car will lose faster, but not sure about the 10 year mark, i think the porsche holds and even gains value in so models. nevertheless, both fast, both fun, but if i had the $ to buy a TT in my 20's, I would have never thought twice about any other car.

I bought my GT-R to keep a very long time (family heirloom) and will bank on the fact that after 10 years they may even start to gain value at some point due to their limited availability and exotic controversial nature and history. But they will probably never compete with American muscle car gained value.

I wonder if there is a gtr web-site where Porsche owners post? LOL, good for you. What ever makes one happy, because what goes on in ones head is all that matters!!! Unless you're the unaboomer!!! What ever happened to the nsx?? hmmmmmmmm? Just being funny.. Like i said, it's a personality type, not just a car!!!!!

Ya, because that's exactly what happened to the Supra Turbos. Not.

but i think it is ludicrous for anyone to buy a car as an investment. there are very few exceptions to this rule and i dont think the gtr (as great of an engineering marvel that it is) is the exception.
this reminds me of ppl being rolexes and expecting all of them to go up in value.
it also reminds me of ppl buying frozen gray m3s and immediately trying to resell it for a 10k profit. thats not how it works.
iono, do ppl stop to think things through? or is me whos cracked in the head?

I think your sig says it all.
(99#TT or GT-R) - I had this exact search (among a few others). The two are just phenomenal cars, it really comes down to preference.

Um, like, if I had a Turbo S, I would like add 5 turbo chargers on it, and, geez, it would like totally smoke the datsun, puleeze......

I feel the GT-R will maintain its value in the future in perhaps its price or in other ways, for example, when we are forced to buy subcompacts that get 50 miles to the gallon and hit 0-60 in 10 seconds! A lot of people do not like or want to buy Porsche automobiles. There are many out there who would like to buy a GT-R now or in the future, however, you appear to live in isolation of these facts or are in denial.
If you read my post again, I bought my car to keep for my family to enjoy. My father bought a new 1951 DeSoto back in those days, yes a DeSoto. He did not buy it as an investment; it was a family car. He owned it for 20 years and could not bear to part with it. He was that kind of guy that everyone liked and respected. He and I then together fully restored it and we had a great time doing it. I now own it since his death over two years ago, and I plan to pass it on to my son someday. This is what I am talking about, its something that is lost on today's mobile and narcissistic society. Also lost is the ability for people to communicate and even to write in full sentences with correct capitalization and punctuation. I believe that you have over-analyzed here and also made bad assumptions. I am not upset with you, but after reading your post I would definitely learn to write better English. I would also take more pride in how I am perceived in my endeavors by others.
Respectfully,

as for my "bad" assumptions, iono how its bad. you r talkin about cars gainin n value, which implies u r goin 2 sell n the future. y would ppl be talking about values of their car unless they are going 2 sell? unless i missed it, u didnt say anything bout ur family or sentimental value until ur most recent post. u just talked about the monetary worth of ur car, which would lead anyone to believe tat u r goin to sell it 4 more money later. how much more, u and i never specified. so lets not discuss tat.
and grammar isnt a priority with me on forums. as long as you understand what imma sayin, then its all good w/ me.
