Forged Performance is on the way to Texas T2K11!
Hey guys,
Sharif, Ryan and Aaron left early this morning for the drive from GA to TX for Texas T2K11!
For the second year in a row, Forged Performance is proud to be a major partner sponsor of the annual Texas T2K11 event. Forged is one of the title sponsors of the all important Time Attack/HPDE Track day. With nearly three years of road racing experience with the GT-R specifically, the guys are loaded up and ready to do battle with the best and brightest tuning names in the industry.
Texas T2K11 takes place March 17-20, 2011 in Houston, TX. This event started off as a Supra only event and it has grown considerably since it's beginning in 2000. The event now is open to car enthusiasts from all makes and models: GT-R's, Porsche's, Viper's, Vette's, Subaru's, etc. We will be involved in all aspects of this event (driver's education & time attack, dyno day, drag strip, road race).

Hey guys,
Well Sharif, Ryan and Aaron had a bit of an adventure on the way last night. They had a trailer tire blowout at 80mph. They stopped for repairs and were right back on the road. They got in safely last night. Thankfully the guys and the cars were unharmed and the situation was dealt with quickly which made this only a minor snag in the plans.
Things are going well up at GrandSport Speedway for the Forged Team!
Sharif has been dialing in the GT-R all morning and acclimating himself to the track. His adjustments and driving skills have paid off so far. Sharif is leading the pack as of right now with Jason Purdam from Boulder Nissan hot on his tail! All of us at Forged back in GA are rooting Sharif on as he progresses throughout the day.

Hey guys,
The timed competition got cut short yesterday due to a wreck/roll-over by a Supra driver. He walked away unscathed fortunately. Prior to the cancellation of the timed runs, the Forged team had the quickest GT-R with a time of 1:00.4!
In addition, Sharif commented to me that the GT-R handled superbly on this track and there was considerably more left in it. The guys had a blast at yesterday's competition and look forward to continuing onward with this event!

Good to hear that the supra driver came out unscathed. Good Luck to Sharif, Ryan & Aaron as well as the Forged Performance crew. Wish you guys the best and a safe trip back.
