The 2012 has revised suspension and aeros, 530hp, true launch control that is covered by warranty and some cosmetic changes inside and out.

Awesome performance for a stock car at that price. Will be interesting to see what the 2012 GT-R will do with stage 1 and 2 upgrades.

I'm curious - what times have you seen in magazines?

Agreed. One of two things will happen - either the starting point is THAT much higher

OR................

They've done what we (pre '12 owners) all have already and modified the tune and exhaust (minus the valves, etc...), and the gains will be minimal.

Let's say we all get a Cobb AP stage 1 tune, get a TCM update for LC4 - will this car be THAT much better in a straight line? I dunno... But I'm curious to see what happens with the TCM program.

I think this will be the case. When it comes to tuning I just don't see there being a big difference between the '09-'11 and the new '12. If I was going to tune it would have been hard for me to justify the added expense of the 2012 over an earlier R35. However, I plan to leave my car stock except for possibly a mid-pipe and rear section exhaust so the extra factory performance of the 2012 appealed to me.

WOW for a stock GTR that is really impressive. Def a 10 sec car from the factory only mod needed is a driver mod and you have that with a 1.6 60" ..and they come with LEDS now !! lol its the small things.
