That merc is fast. I know I might be in the minority when it comes to this but I have always thought the SLR was one of the sexiest modern cars.

*edit - watched the video again, That looks it was possibly a stock GT-R, or maybe even a Y-pipe (or just a stage 1 tune on a stock car). 11.5secs?

Perhaps I should go race a stock M3 and celebrate my victory... Or play basketball with a 2nd grader. Next time, I'd be interested in a stock vs stock race. There are always faster cars in a straight line (like my neighbor's '68 Camaro).

I remember watching a guy on Pinks who had bought an old 1970's Dodge somethingorother POS trashy looking car. He modded it with only $6000 and did the work himself.

He was running 10.1 second 1/4 mile runs. LMAO!

Fast slr but I'd much rather have the GTR.

 

I raced an SLR from a roll on the high from abt 40 to 130, we were side by side. My car has just mid pipe and exhaust and the slr was stock. That is no stock SLR.
